About
I started building for the web in 2023 as a full-stack developer, working across PHP and Laravel on the server and Vue and React on the client. That's still the core of what I do: design the schema, write the API, build the interface, ship it.
Alongside that I finished a master's in Big Data & Artificial Intelligence, which pulled me toward the layer underneath — Spark jobs, ingestion pipelines, and the modelling work that turns a pile of records into something a product can actually use.
The overlap is the useful part. Most teams have people who can build the dashboard and people who can build the pipeline feeding it. I'd rather be the one who can do both and keep the seam between them clean.
A deployed, imperfect feature teaches you more in a week than another month of planning. Get it in front of someone real.
Most bugs I've had to untangle were schema decisions in disguise. Getting the shape right early saves the rewrite later.
Plenty of people reach your product on a slow connection. Server-rendered HTML and small payloads aren't optimisations — they're the baseline.
Clear naming and small modules beat clever abstractions. The next person to open the file is often me, six months later.
